Sebastien Corchia keen on “big club” move

The 22-year-old is one of Europe’s most highly-rated prospects, with Arsenal, Tottenham, and Bayern Munich believed to be the main clubs contending for his signature.

Currently at Sochaux in Ligue 1, he has made more than 50 appearances since joining the Ligue 1 outfit in 2011, and played for France at every youth level.

Corchia seemingly would prefer a move to England or Germany, despite interest from Lyon and Juventus, and the French International, a well established Ligue 1 player, is looking for the next step in his career.

“I am happy when I am being mentioned with prestigious Clubs home and abroad.

“I am working hard to reach the top level and play in a bigger club than Sochaux, it is everyone’s ambition to move to a big club.

“I am a big fan of the two leagues England and Germany, they are the best two leagues at the moment.

“At the end of the season, I will sit down with the club and see the next step.”

With Sagna having just having one-year left on his contract, it’s unclear yet as to whether he will stay. Could Sebastien Corchia be a potential replacement should talks not go as Wenger hopes? With £70m to spend not including those we may sell, this man is one of many targets Arsenal are currently evaluating.

  1. I am a 70 year old man whose supported Arsenal for about 35 years and it has really saddens me very much to see this team that I love so much, really going through a bad time. It’s about time Arsene Wenger stopped diddering over good players and just buy them. He didn’t hesitate buying big names before so why is he holding back, especially now that Peter Hill-Wood has said that there is money to spend. Come on Arsene please help Our Great Club to be Great Once More. Make us PROUD
